CPD for Policymakers workshops
We have developed CPD for national and regional policymakers in the UK to learn more about the impact that Christians are having on responding to poverty in the UK, in order to learn how to support these responses to make them more effective and to work towards reducing levels of poverty.
The CPD is informed by the Life on the Breadline research that we have undertaken since 2018. A CPD taster session is available here and our first online workshop ran on 11th June 2021.
Led by Life on the Breadline researchers, the two hour workshops address four objectives:
1) To enhance understanding of the complexity of poverty in the UK.
2) To develop a greater understanding of the range of Christian responses to poverty in the UK.
3) To develop a greater understanding of the impact that Christians have on responding to poverty in the UK.
4) To identify how Christians’ responses to poverty can be supported, in order to make them more effective.
